Squarespace takes care of accessibility, software updates, plug-in installations and online security for you behind the scenes. You won't need to maintain these things yourself or hire someone to routinely do it for you.

Most importantly, making edits and updates to your website in the future will be a breeze using an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.

24/7 online customer support, plus a huge library of video and step-by-step tutorials, means you'll easily be able to update the content of your website yourself after I've built it for you. (Of course, I'll show you exactly how to manage your site before I hand over the keys and if you need any assistance afterward, I'm only an email away).

Flexibility! Squarespace can be used for regular websites, online stores or blogs. You can integrate appointment booking, social media accounts, calendars, videos, galleries or services like JustGiving. The options are endless and your website can easily grow and change as your business does.

Using the Site Styles Editor, your website can be completely customized to match.your brand style. As a developer, Squarespace allows me to inject custom code to create even more dynamic layouts and functionality.

I care deeply about accessibility and consider accessibility standards throughout the design process.

Since full compliance can only be achieved through constant monitoring of the website, I highly recommend enlisting the services of an accessibility specialist if a guarantee in compliance is required.

My design and development process includes optimizing page layouts for the three most common device sizes - desktop, tablet and mobile. I follow the industry’s best practices and standards in responsive design and test to make sure designs deliver a consistent experience.

However, it’s important to note that due to the vast array of device screen sizes and resolutions available in today’s market, it’s not possible to guarantee that the layout will look exactly the same across every single device or screen size. Minor variations may occur, especially on less common devices or screen sizes.

While I strive for cross-browser compatibility, websites may not appear identical on all browsers.

I adhere to industry-standard best practices in the development of sites and avoid using non-standard or experimental browser features. Typically, features are optimized for the two latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

Any other browser compatibility conflicts, such as with Internet Explorer or Edge, may not be feasible to resolve.

Timeframes will vary depending on the overall scope of your project. Generally speaking, most projects take 3-6 weeks to complete. I’ll give you a firm estimate when I prepare your proposal.

Because I only work on ONE custom website project at a time, there is very little risk of delay on my part and I can often complete projects ahead of schedule.

Our kickoff date will depend on the time needed for creating or developing the brand guidelines, images, graphic elements and copy, as well as availability on my calendar for your entire project.

Note that any delays in milestone approvals, revision feedback or fee installments may cause the project to be rescheduled to the next available opening on my calendar, and may also incur a rescheduling fee. So I’ll send you key reminders and support to make sure we stay on track.
